Montana has a variety of custom plates available. The standard plate does not cost extra when licensing your vehicle.
You can review the full selection of all currently available license plate designs and sponsor plates at the Montana Department of Justice – Motor Vehicle Division. When you sign up for Montana vehicle LLC registration, you can request a sponsor plate for an additional $149 by choosing from the available plates listed under “Custom Plates” on the order form. Keep in mind custom plates are made upon order and will slow down the process.
